William Chan Jun Man is a TISKL student preparing for IGCSE. He is a self-learned artist and started drawing at 4 years old, while he started speaking fluently much later. William’s drawing started with mainly dinosaurs in his childhood, gradually with colours then to storyboards and comics in his teenage years. His comic is his platform to deliver his stories and express his ideas. William started his comic series with pencils, pens (mainly gel ink) and coloured pencils in diaries and planners. His comic style originates from American comics like Garfield and graphic novels from Marvel. His comics are also inspired by Japanese manga, anime and other shows like Ultraman, (which he’s a huge fan of). William has a growing fanbase of Ultramen styled similar to his other comics. Recently he has experimented with digital art through Book Creator. He is also gaining more exposure and looking forward to connecting with more artists, to learn a variety of materials usage, styles and genres.
